Strong Building Bridges presence at ARNOVA 2001 The annual ARNOVA conference is as much a chance to connect with
colleagues as it is an opportunity to hear the latest research from the
sector. Several Bridges-related events were highly successful in
reconnecting old friends and introducing new ones. The American Humanics Welcome Reception was, as usual, a well attended
event. As the first reception of the conference, it offered an opportunity
to converse in a relaxed setting, before the plenaries, panels and
presentations started. The host city, Miami, was showcased beautifully as
the reception was located in a first floor ballroom that overlooked Miami’s
Biscayne Bay. Immediately following the American Humanics reception, Building Bridges
project team members gathered for a CenterPoint Instititute reception.
Over 25 friends and colleagues attended. They enjoyed desserts, coffee and
a slideshow featuring photos from throughout the Initiative. Initiative team member Sam Larson capped the evening by presenting a
"Bob the Builder" doll to Kellogg Foundation Vice President Bob
Long in commemoration of his leadership of the Building Bridges Initiative
and the field of nonprofit management education. For pictures from ARNOVA 2001, click here. |
