CONTEXT
The Unleashing Resources Initiative is a key element in
the W. K. Kellogg Foundation's (WKKF) Philanthropy and Volunteerism
(P&V) strategic plan and vision of A mutually responsible and just
society in which all contribute to the common good through
volunteering and philanthropy. The purpose of the Unleashing
Resources initiative is to strengthen and connect new leaders, donors,
and emerging forms of philanthropy and volunteerism. It is focused on
building, identifying, and advancing new and creative approaches that
stimulate people and organizations to give time, money, and know-how.

|
The Unleashing Resources
initiative is organized around three programming approaches: |
Support Emerging Leaders and Donors; |
Create and Share Knowledge; and
 |
Build Tools for Nonprofit Sustainability and
Innovative Giving.
CenterPoint Institute's work within the Unleashing Resources
initiative is focused on the Build Tools for Nonprofit
Sustainability and Innovative Giving approach. Within the
approach is a cluster of approximately 20 grants that are subdivided
into two categories--grants that:
|
Contribute to nonprofit sustainability and
 |
Support innovations in giving.
