2006 National Conference on the State of Nonprofit Management and Philanthropic Studies at Arizona State University

To further its contributions to scholarship and the field of nonprofit management education, Arizona State University’s Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management (ASUCNLM) hosted the 2006 Conference on the State of Nonprofit Management and Philanthropic Studies. Only two previous conferences had been held specific to university-based nonprofit management education programs (1986 and 1996). CenterPoint Institute provided conference design and management services to the Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Management to support both the intellectual development of the conference program and the logistical planning required for successful execution. In collaboration with the ASU CNLM, CenterPoint facilitated the conference planning team, developed the call for papers, created and disseminated marketing materials, secured meeting space, negotiated with vendors, and secured nearly $50,000 in sponsorship funding.
