Rod Hill, C.P.A.
Chief Financial Officer

Roderick D. Hill, CPA is CenterPoint’s Chief Financial Officer. He has extensive for-profit and nonprofit accounting and tax experience. After three years as a member of a medium sized Chicago CPA firm, Rod moved into private industry and filled increasingly more responsible positions including Controllership, Operations Management, Corporate Treasurer and Corporate Internal Audit Management of a public company. Rod went into private practice as a Certified Public Accountant in 1988 specializing in Corporate Accounting and Taxation and Individual Estate Tax Planning.

Rod’s professional introduction to the nonprofit sector began as a trustee of a charitable remainder trust, a position he retained for a number of years. Rod still maintains a diverse accounting and tax practice along with his CFO responsibilities at CenterPoint. He specifically enjoys helping clients with estate planning, estate tax return filings, tax minimization strategies and family wealth transfer planning.

Rod is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BS Degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University. He still plays a mean guitar, though not quite as fast as he once did – maybe because his hair is much shorter now.
